On the 10th July 2018 fifteen of us in Year 6 at Four Oaks Primary School went to Sutton Town Hall to be presented with our Rotary Awards, therefore we are now officially Rotarians !

There were four sections to the award : Physical Recreation; Community Service; Social Experience; and Skills. For Physical Recreation we had to do two hours worth of sport for ten weeks and keep a diary of it. For Community Service we had to help someone, for example helping Rainbows or Brownies and we also had to keep a record or diary of that as well. For Social Experience, we had to do five things and write a report on each one. The five things were a community celebration, a community meeting, a cultural exchange, a religious spiritual experience and the arts. Finally for the Skills part of the award we had to take up a new skill for ten weeks and keep a diary of it, such as playing a musical instrument.
