The Big Hoot 2015

Over the last three months some of the pupils at Four Oaks have been taking part in Birmingham’s “Big Hoot” which is an arts event organized by “Wild in Art”. Between July and September keep your eyes peeled for colourful owls appearing across Birmingham ! There will be over 100 large owl sculptures and another 100 smaller owlets. The Owl class and 5C have been working hard to decorate our owlet which we have called “Hooty Fruity” due to his mosaic design. All the owls and owlets will form art trails around the city this Summer and although we are still waiting for news on where our owlet will be, we are hoping for the Gracechurch Shopping Centre. In September, the large owls will be auctioned to raise money for Birmingham’s Children’s Hospital.

The Owl class have also been busy for their “Arts Award Discover” certificates and have been working on lots of owl related arts activities.
