KILIMANJARO CHARITY CLIMB

On 3rd Feb 2011, Dharam (Nemos) and Avni’s (Tiggers) dad,Rupinder Cheema, began a six day trek to climb Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for Sparks, the children’s medical research charity. Kilimanjaro is in Tanzania and is the highest point in Africa. Its summit is 5,895m above sea level, where
temperatures reach 15 oC and oxygen levels are half of those we are used to. Sparks charity aims to help babies to be born healthy and to stay healthy. In the UK, 70 babies are born each day with a life-threatening condition or an illness that
will affect them and their families for life. Sparks is dedicated to reducing this number by funding medical research specifically into conditions affecting children. You can learn more at

Rupinder was aiming to raise over £5,000 for the charity but so far has raised an amazing £10,020  !!!
