The PTA Big Build 2018

On Saturday 21st April 2018 lots of friends from the PTA came along and spent the day renovating the front Reception playground. Between 9am and 3pm lots of families and friends came along and got stuck in with jobs organized by Miss Appleby from Reception and Mr Hughes from the PTA. They created a new giant bug house, a new set of numbered stepping stones, a play area made from old tyres, and an area for water play, maths play and writing. The digging pit was re-vamped so the children could use it again and a new construction area was also created. Large wooden signs for each area were drawn and painted and will soon go up around the playground so the children can be directed to different areas of play. Some giant wooden flowers were also created and fixed to the wall near the Reception entrance for the children to use as blackboards.

It was a fantastic day and so much was achieved, so big thanks to everyone who came along and happily gave of their free time - that's children, parents, grandparents and staff ! Well done to everyone !
